Matchday 13 in Major League Soccer is here, with 14 interesting games taking place on Saturday in this latest round. As is often the case, Inter Miami will be one of the main attractions for domestic and international fans as the Florida franchise visit CF Montreal for the second time this season.

The question on everyone's mind is whether Tata Martino's men can make it five straight wins in a row in the league following a five-match winless run between late March and mid-April.

The Herons lost home and away to Monterrey in the CONCACAF Champions Cup to crash out of the competition while suffering slip-ups in the MLS against the New York Red Bulls, New York City, and the Colorado Rapids during that dip.

That poor form coincided with Lionel Messi's injury woes but the Argentine is back in full swing and that has reaped tremendous dividends for Inter Miami, with the club winning their last four outings in a row.

Sporting KC, Nashville SC, New England, and – worst of them all – the New York Red Bulls have all fallen victim to Messi and Co. recently, with Martino's men scoring a whopping 16 goals during this four-match spell.

Their most recent fixture, in particular, stood out, with the visitors putting six past the New York Red Bulls in a game that saw Leo grab a whopping six goal contributions, scoring once and assisting his teammates five times.

Close friend Luis Suarez grabbed a hat-trick in that aforementioned 6-2 triumph, which shows how dangerous Inter Miami are in front of goal. Not only are the Eastern Conference leaders leading this season's Supporters' Shield race but have scored more times than the next two best teams in the Supporters' Shield race combined (Real Salt Lake with 18 goals and Cincinnati with 13 goals).

But can CF Montreal halt the unstoppable? This will be the hosts goal for Saturday's showdown but Laurent Courtois's men will have to overcome their recent slump if they are to beat the Eastern Conference leaders.

The home side will be tasked with stopping Messi and Co. on the back of a four-match winless run, with the Canadian-based side losing to Nashville earlier this month while drawing against Orlando City, Columbus Crew, and Forge in the Canadian championship.

As a result, L'Impact sit 11th in the Eastern Conference with only 12 points after winning only three of their opening 10 matches (D4, L3). They sit two points outside of the playoffs spot and will need to return to winning ways as early as this round.

Fortunately, CF Montreal know what it takes to beat Inter Miami. These two sides met back in March and while the Herons were without Messi, Tata Martino's men boasted the home advantage. Despite this, Montreal scored three times to come away with a 3-2 victory and will be aiming to repeat this at Saputo Stadium.

Team news

CF Montreal: Matias Coccar and Kwadwo Opoku are long-term absentees while Dominik Yankov and Josef Martinez are also unavailable. Joaquin Sosa, Lassi Lappalainen, Nathan-Dylan Saliba, and Grayson Doody could also miss this tie.

Inter Miami: The visitors are without Federico Redondo while Jordi Alba and Diego Gomez are doubts. Ian Fray has not yet returned from his ACL injury while Facundo Farias and Robbie Robinson are long-term absentees.
