The Brazilian midfielder will leave Chelsea when the season concludes, but his next club could back out of an already agreed deal.

One of the the players that is set to end his current deal at Chelsea is Willian. The player had reportedly agreed a deal to continue playing in the Premier League, but the coronavirus pandemic could pull the plug on that deal.

According to a report by The Mirror, Willian was set to join none other than Arsenal once the current season ended, but the economic effects caused by the coronavirus could see the deal fall apart. The report states that Willian had agreed a weekly wage of £250,000 with the Gunners (around $310,000), but given the team's financial problems, that figure could go down or could even see the deal not happening.

Willian's agent, Kia Joorabchian, could still have a say in this negotiation, especially due to the current influence and recent business deals he has reached with the red and white side. Added to Willian's potential arrival, Joorabchian could be behind a loan deal that would see Philippe Coutinho join the Gunners next season, although that would also bring more problems to the Gunners' ailing finances.

Arsenal's wage problems could see them part ways with striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, who has failed to reach an agreement to extend his deal at Emirates Stadium. If the Gabonese player leaves, the funds to hire any of these players could be liberated, but it would not be the right course of action for a club that is desperate to earn a spot in European competitions.
