USWNT head coach Vlatko Andonovski announced a 26-player training roster ahead of the SheBelieves Cup. This roster will be cut to 23 players before the start of the tournament on March 5.

The roster features all 20 players who lifted the Concacaf Women's Olympic Qualifying Tournament trophy on February 9 and six players who will be looking to fill in the remaining three spots.

USWNT 26-player roster

USWNT roster notes

Goalkeeper Adrianna Franch and midfielder Andi Sullivan were the only two players who did not record minutes at the CWOQ out of the 20 returning players.

Jane Campbell, Tierna Davidson, Mallory Pugh, Margaret Purce and Casey Short are five out of the six players who did not make the cut for the Olympic qualifiers. Davidson and Pugh will be craving a return a bit more than the others being the only players who participated at the FIFA WWC and did not make the CWOQ roster.

There is one player that we haven't brought up yet and that is the 26th player of the roster, midfielder Jordan DiBiasi. This is the 23-year-old's second callup to the national team. The Stanford Cardinal graduate scored four goals in 22 NWSL matches last season with the Washington Spirit.

The players will have a great shot to get themselves into a 23-player roster with the addition of three spots.

Three possible cuts

It is obvious that either Franch and Campbell will be cut from the list. Andonovski and goalkeeper coaches, therefore, will probably enjoy some good displays in between the posts from all four keepers.

Given that there are nine defenders compared to six midfielders and seven forwards, it is most likely that two defenders will be dropped. And it probably won't be any of the ones who played in the CWOQ given great performances by all defenders.

There is also a chance that Andonovski chooses a forward and a defender. Pugh, who will get a fresh start in the NWSL after being traded from the Spirit to Sky Blue, is the only forward who did not play in February. She will hope to impress in order to get back on the roster.

My cuts: Campbell, Purce and Short
