Bayern München may not be living their best season in the Bundesliga, but that disappointing form has not been a part of their UEFA Champions League campaign. In fact, the German side accomplished a feat only one team had done before, but they were able to top that feat with their impressive stats in front of goal.
Only Real Madrid, back in the 2011-12 season, had completed a first round with nothing but victories. Today, Die Roten matched that accomplishment, but with the added bonus of an impressive goal difference. Surely their two wins over Tottenham (7-2 and 3-1) were key to make that happen.
18 - Champions League record: By collecting maximum points (18) and a goal difference of +19 @FCBayernEN become the best group winner in the history of the competition. Giants. #FCBTOT #ChampionsLeague pic.twitter.com/kZ7sPcLJxS

Bayern will be joined by RB Leipzig and Borussia Dortmund in the next round of the competition, where they will try to win the first UEFA CL trophy for a Bundesliga side since Die Roten defeated Dortmund in the 2012-13 final.
