The Brazilian seems to be ready to embark on a tour to say goodbye to his fans, even if he had his passport taken away by the country's authorities.

Ronaldinho will finally begin his farewell tour around the world, but he chose the most improbable place to kick things off.

The former Barcelona and A Canarinha ace made headlines recently for his problems with the Brazilian IRS, which even went as far as to strip him from his passport. Now, with the document in his hands once more, he has chosen to begin his farewell tour in Mexico, where he will visit Cancún, Playa del Carmen and the state of Morelos.

The Brazilian legend, who is expected to have up to seven promotional events in the North American country, is set to play a game on November 24 at Agustín "Coruco" Díaz Stadium, where he will be facing a team composed of former Liga MX stars led by Mexican legend Cuauhtémoc Blanco.

Other prominent names in the Mexican team will include former Real Madrid striker Iván Zamorano and El Tri ace Luis Hernández, who played alongside Blanco in the late 90s and early 2000s. The players that will join Ronaldinho will be revealed at a later date.

Blanco, the host of that meeting, is currently facing heavy criticism, since he chose to pursue a political career that had him elected governor of Morelos. The former footballer is ranked as one of the worst in his current job, and this latest show might just be a publicity stunt to get his numbers up.

Ronaldinho is expected to reveal more dates of his farewell tour soon, even adding more friendly games while in Mexico, according to ESPN. Fans around the world -especially in those countries where he played- need to keep their eyes open for more dates, and we will be sure to let you know if -or when- it happens.
