UEFA Euro Qualifiers: How to watch Bulgaria vs England live on October 14, 2019

What is the form of Bulgaria compared to England?

Things have not been going well for Bulgaria as of late. They are without a win in their last 10 games, losing five and drawing the remaining five. As a result, they sit dead bottom in Group A.

England head into this game on the back of their shock defeat to the Czech Republic, who have drawn level with Southgate’s table-toppers on points. The Three Lions could have secured an early qualification for Euro 2020 with a win but ended up losing 2-1. Nonetheless, that was only one of two defeats the English have suffered in their last 12 games (W9, D1).

Bulgaria vs England head-to-head record

These two sides have met only 11 times before. Unfortunately for Bulgaria, they are yet to win a single game against the 1966 World Cup champions.

Games played: 11

Bulgaria wins: 0

England wins: 7

Draws: 4

Team news

Danny Rose will be suspended for yellow card accumulation in Monday's game. The Tottenham man was one of several English players to disappoint in the loss to the Czech Republic and would have been in danger of being dropped.

In all fairness, Maguire, Keane, and Trippier weren’t excellent either and given that the Three Lions have the likes of Trent Alexander-Arnold, Joe Gomez and Ben Chilwell on the bench to call upon, Southgate might make a few changes to his lineup. Elsewhere, Ross Barkley will be pushing for a start.
