Catalunya Radio has revealed that some prominent Blaugrana players are not convinced about where the team will end up under the former Betis boss.

Life at Camp Nou under Quique Setién has not worked out for the boss and his players, and now, conflictinig reports about the relationship between the boss and those under his command have emerged.

According to a report by Catalunya Radio, things between Setién and the squad kicked off on the wrong foot, mainly because his arrival was seen by many as "a way to throw the season away." The team's loss against Atlético in the Spanish Super Cup reportedly created a bad environment between the players ant the team's hierarchy.

Things have not improved as time has gone by under the former Betis boss, who lacks credibility with some of the team's most praised players. According to the report issued by Catalunya Radio, some players have dealt some blows to those in charge with phrases such as "these guys can't handle this team" or "this team is too much for them".

This conflicting tale of how things have gone sideways at Camp Nou for Setién includes a player mocking the absence of one of the members of the technical staff. According to the report, the unnamed player asked if making it to the training session was "optional".

The report adds that there were several instances in the past few weeks where Barcelona players argued with the tactician during the team's training session while also disregarding his orders. Moreover, the last incident of the sort came during Sunday's El Clásico, when some unnamed members of the team criticized Arturo Vidal's substitution, since it paved the way for Real Madrid to win the game.

If these stories are true, Setién will have to work overtime to try and earn the trust of those under his command, or else the team's season will look like a train-wreck in May.
