Bleacher Report App
Bleacher Report Live (B/R Live) is a premium sports streaming video service available in the USA. It is operated by Turner Sports, a subsidiary of WarnerMedia. The first announcement regarding the launch of the OTT sports platform came in August 2017, when it was confirmed that Turner and European football’s governing body had reached an agreement for multi-platform rights to the UEFA Champions League and UEFA Europa League in the United States.
As Turner became the exclusive partner for English-language coverage of both UEFA competitions, plans were made for Bleacher Report—a WarnerMedia-owned digital media outlet—to become the portal to the subscription-based streaming platform. B/R Live eventually launched in the first half 2018.
At first, soccer on B/R Live largely consisted of streaming Champions League and Europa League matches, particularly those not picked by WarnerMedia-owned TV channels for live telecasts. Over time, B/R Live’s soccer content extended to other leagues and competitions. In late 2019, BR/Live added popular European Club TV Channels such as BVB World (Borussia Dortmund), LFCTV (Liverpool FC), Arsenal TV (Arsenal FC) and Spurs TV (Tottenham Hotspur) offering very specific club programming for ardent fans of such clubs.
To stream B/R Live videos on computers and mobile apps, a minimum internet connection speed of 3 Mbps is required. Furthermore, users on iPads or iPhones must ensure that their devices are running on at least iOS 9. In contrast, Android phone and tablet users are restricted to Android version 4.4 and higher. Minimum browser requirements to stream B/R Live matches include IE11+, Firefox 52+, Chrome 57+, Safari 11+, Edge 40+, Opera 30+ and iOS Safari 8+.
Unlimited access to replays is granted to B/R Live members who purchase events. On-demand streaming, in this case, becomes available within a day after the conclusion of the original event. Though subscribers may face restrictions on the number of devices on which they can simultaneously stream content from a single account, there are no limits on the number of matches or events that can be streamed on a single device.
In addition to its subscription packages, B/R Live may occasionally feature events on a pay-per-view (PPV) basis. Other sports that have trended on the OTT platform since its launch, aside from soccer, include NBA basketball, National Lacross League, ONE Championship MMA, Field hockey and All Elite Wrestling as well as a variety of NCAA college sports and other sports.
