Zidane admits conversation with Pogba in recent trip to Dubai

It would have been easier for Zinedine Zidane to lie about it, but he decided to admit that he ran into Paul Pogba during a recent trip to Dubai, where he gave a lecture.

Speaking in the pre-match press conference ahead of the game against Mallorca, Zizou admitted that he had a chat with his compatriot in the last few days, when both of them were in Dubai. Zidane, as we said before, was in town to give a lecture, while Pogba traveled there to meet a specialist that is dealing with an ankle injury picked up by the Frenchman.

The encounter was documented by English newspaper the Mirror and posted on their cover. (Photo credit: The Mirror)

Zidane addressed this subject without any problem, since his meeting with Pogba was casual.

"It was not planned. He was there and I was there, and since we know each other, we had a conversation. I won't tell you what we talked about, but it's normal, we go way back," Zidane said.

Zidane dismissed the chance to lure the footballer to the Bernabeu this winter, mainly because he seems to trust his current squad. Even so, he left the door open for more signings.

"There are a lot of options for all the clubs, but honestly, we have a squad and we will play tomorrow. We will find a way to deal with things, there is no problem there. I can't think about signing players during the winter because we have a game tomorrow. We still have time to think about that, just like every team in the world," Zidane added.

Real Madrid will try to keep their first place in La Liga when they visit Mallorca, one of the recently promoted teams in the Spanish top-flight.
