The north London giants will welcome the Citizens to the Emirates on Monday, with the German player eyeing all three points.

Arsenal will host English Premier League giants Manchester City at the Emirates Stadium in what will be a true test of the Gunners title credentials.

Despite leading Manuel Pellegrini’s crew by a point in the standings, the Citizens will prove far more difficult opponents than any other side to have visited Arsenal this campaign, but their German playmaker Mesut Ozil is not phased.

Currently leading England and Europe assist charts with 16, is confident that his in-form side will continue the steady growth that Wenger’s boys exhibited from the start of 2015 in Monday’s game and clinch their 1st home victory over City in 3 years.

"We are a more confident team this season. I can feel as a player on the pitch the team is more confident when we play. We dominate the other team," said Ozil.

"The team believes in itself more this season. It's not just started now. It's been going for the whole year. We played very good football in the second half of last season. The players believe we can be successful this season.

"I believe we will take the three points from City. We want to win because it's at our home and we want to be successful. We are more hungry this season.

"Look at the Champions League. You could see us in Athens against Olympiacos: we just needed two goals but we went for the third one. We showed more confidence, more hunger."

Arsenal made it through to the Champions League round of 16 on the last day, but drew Barcelona in the knockout stage.

Despite facing the likes of Lionel Messi, Luis Suarez, and Neymar, an attacking trio who have scored 52 goals this campaign, the World Cup winner insists the Gunners’ defense are not afraid of the Blaugrana.

"There is no fear. In football everything's possible. It is a tough match but I don't think our defenders were afraid after the draw," Mesut added.

"It's a big opportunity for them to prove themselves against the best attack in the world, players like Suarez, Messi, Neymar. It will be an exciting game, with the possibility of lots of goals, but it's not like we are afraid."
