Cristiano Ronaldo may be mocked by his tap-ins, but it takes a certain amount of skill to become the UEFA Champions League's all-time top scorer. Today, the Portuguese striker worked his magic to help Real Madrid blast Malmö, and break another goal scoring record in the process.
After assisting Kariim Benzema twice, CR7 scored his first goal of the evening with a free kick poorly defended by Malmö's keeper. Once the game resumed, Real Madrid's all-time goal scoring leader sent the ball into the back of the net three more times before the second half reached its 15-minute mark, establishing a new record for the tournament.
CR7 became the first player in the tournament's history to score more than ten goals in the Group Stage, breaking Ruud Van Nistelrooy's record from ten years ago. He has already scored 21 goals for Real Madrid in the ongoing season, despite not showing his best form in La Liga.
Here's what fans had to say about his performance today.
