Jose Mourinho drops hint on possible move to Juventus

Jose Mourinho's future may be solved shortly, and he may have already spoken to one of his pupils at his would-be new club.

Speaking in his role as a pundit for beIN Sports, the Special One did not hold back when speaking about his immediate future, which has been closely linked to Juventus since Sunday. In fact, he hinted at having a conversation with none other than Cristiano Ronaldo about taking over as Massimiliano Allegri's replacement.

"One of the players that I have a great relation with, he plays for a team and he told me, 'You should come here next season', and I told him, 'They don't love me'. He told me, 'You win three matches and they will start loving you,'" Mourinho said.

Mourinho's words seem to recall the incidents between himself and Juve's fans during his time at Inter Milan, when it was customary for the Special One to be insulted. Last year, his reaction when Manchester United came from behind to beat the bianconeri did not go down well among Italian supporters, but the Portuguese boss could very well be headed back to the Italian top flight after these developments.

Mourinho sparked a lot of criticism with this gesture back in November.

On Monday, reports from Italy stated that Jorge Mendes and Cristiano Ronaldo were keen on having Mourinho as the new bianconeri boss. The Portuguese manager has been rather shy when speaking about his future, mainly out of respect for those teams interested in signing him, but could his words on TV be a sign of things to come?

With Allegri set to step down after the last Serie A game of the season next weekend, we can expect clarification on this matter once the bianconeri wrap up the 2018-19. As of now, Maurizio Sarri, Jose Mourinho, Simone Inzaghi and Sinisa Mihajlovic have been linked to the job, but it seems that right now, the ball is on Mourinho's side.
