Top Ligue 1 headlines, stats, and other facts

PSG slip up...again: PSG were hoping to rebound after a draw, but failed to fire once again as they were held to a 1-1 draw with Lens. That marks the second straight draw for Mauricio Pochettino's side. While they still do have a very comfortable 11 point lead over the chasing pack, certainly fans will be hoping to see Les Parisiens return to winning ways soon.

Rennes blow Saint-Etienne out of the water: It's been a very impressive season for Rennes, who've been rising steadily in the table. With four wins from their last five games, Les Rouge et Noir have been in excellent form and as a result now sit in second place ahead of their clash with Nice next round, which should be a very interesting one for fans and neutrals alike.

Top Ligue 1 matches: December 10 - December 12, 2021

Lille vs Lyon: Lille have now seemingly turned a corner after a rouch start, as the reigning champs are unbeaten in their last five. Will they be able to make it six unbeaten - and possibly a third straight win - when they face Lyon?

Rennes vs Nice: Rennes have arguably been one of the most in-form sides this season and now the hosts will take on Nice, who've seen their own form take a major hit recently. It'll be interesting to see if Rennes will be able to add another three points as they hope to have a slim shot at closing the gap on league leaders PSG.

Strasbourg vs Marseille: Strasbourg have been enjoying a purple patch of form and will seek to continue in this same vein as they take on Marseille this weekend. L'OM still do have a game in hand and they'll look to rebound after losing last time out.

PSG vs Monaco: After two consecutive draws, PSG will look to get back to winning ways as they take on Monaco in the big match of this round. Monaco, for their part, have seen a dramatic improvement lately, and come into this game unbeaten in their last five matches. Niko Kovac's side are just out of touching distance of a European spot, but could really launch their case should they beat PSG in Paris this weekend.
