A twist to the Serie A title race could unfold with a couple of tricky games on the cards for the title contenders.

For months now, it has been an open secret that the Serie A title race will go down to the wire and rightly so. With just two games left of the season to play, the quest could experience a significant change taking into consideration the calibre of matches lined up. At San Siro, it will be 'all or nothing' for AC Milan when they host Atalanta.

The Rossoneri tops the chart with 80 points - two points more than city and title rivals Inter Milan - and could well slip into second position should they stumble against their opponents from Bergarmo. Relatively, Piero Gasperini's men are well positioned to secure European football next season and, as a result, will treat the upcoming encounter with all seriousness.

While Inter will be counting on Atalanta to ruin the party for their archnemesis in Sunday's showdown, they will hope to get the better of Cagliari in their penultimate game of the season. The Nerrazzuri are soaring in confidence after securing a comeback win over Juventus to clinch the Coppa Italia for the first time in over a decade. The prospect of completing a double this season is appealing and should well propel Simeone Inzaghi's men to the complete the quest. Needless to say, Cagliari's desire to escape relegation changes the dynamics of the game as a win could potentially left them from 18th to 17th, depending on the outcome of Salernitana's meeting with Empoli.

Elsewhere, Napoli will take on relegation-battling Genoa as they look to finish on a high note with top-four already guaranteed. The same applies to Juventus, who after losing the Coppa Italia to Inter, will look to return to winning ways when they take on Europa League-chasing Lazio. Having suffered a disappointing defeat to Fiorentina last week, AS Roma will take on Venezia with their Europa Conference League final with Feyenoord on the horizon.
