The 2020 CONCACAF Champions League will know the names of those that enter the next round by the end of the week, and judging by what happened last week, the games will be anything but dull.
The results from the first leg leave practically all of the ties open for a resolution. Apparently, the team with the best lead is New York City FC, since they scored five away goals against San Carlos and they will host the second leg at home.
Just so you are aware, the rules of the competition state that the away goals rule will be used as a tiebreaker. If that statistic is level, then the tie will be solved via a penalty shootout.
The second legs will not be played as they were scheduled last week. This time, there will be two games on Tuesday, with four more taking place on Wednesday. The Round of 16 will come to an end on Thursday with two more matches.
Without further ado, here's the general picture of each one of the return legs of the CONCACAF Champions League and how they are initially scheduled to be played.
Tuesday, February 25
Atlanta United (1) vs Motagua (1) - Frank De Boer's side camer from behind to draw this game against the team from Honduras, leaving the tie wide open for anyone to win. Losing in the first round would be a massive blow for the Five Stripes, especially with the return leg being played at home.

Cruz Azul (2) vs Portmore United (1) - "La Máquina" came close to being shocked by the Jamaican side, but two late goals rescued a win for Siboldi's men. While there doesn't seem to be any reason for fans to question their role as favorites, the blue and white side must not concede to keep everyone calm at Azteca Stadium.

New York City FC (5) vs San Carlos (3) - NYCFC got the best lead out of the first leg ties, especially when you consider the amount of away goals they earned. The Costa Rican side needs to score three goals while also keeping a clean sheet to help their cause, and given their shaky form at the back, the chances of watching them turning things around are quite slim.

Tigres UANL (1) vs Alianza (2) - Last year's runners-up were shocked in El Salvador, where Alianza exposed some of the holes in their system. Even though their fans at El Volcán could help them turn things around, it will take more than a convincing win here to make fans believe in their chances of winning their first major international trophy.

Montreal Impact (2) vs Deportivo Saprissa (2) - This was one of the toughest ties to call, and the first leg proved that. The Canadian side could make it through even if this game ends drawn either 0-0 or 1-1, while the Central American side will want to keep it simple and beat the Canadian side. If León scores one, Bob Bradley's men will need four to keep their chances alive, and they could surely use the help from last year's MVP, Carlos Vela, to knock his compatriots out of the competition.
