The USWNT managed to set one more record in a summer that will go down in history as one of the best for women's football in history.
The team led by Jill Ellis claimed their fourth-ever title in this competition, good enough to extend their dominance in the all-time winners' list. Even so, Megan Rapinoe and Co. have also made history with the biggest gap between the first and second team in the FIFA Women's Ranking.
Already ranked first, the USWNT own the top with 2180 points, especially after beating four out of the top six teams en route to the title. Germany still holds on to the second place, despite being eliminated in the Quarterfinals of the tournament held in France.
The biggest leap in the ranking saw the Netherlands climb five spots, good enough to earn them a well-deserved third place after losing the title match against the American side.
Japan staged the biggest drop in the ranking, which eventually saw them leave the Top 10. Japan is now 11th in the FIFA Women's Ranking after dropping four points.
