This season’s Champions League is almost over. After several exciting games and moments, Juventus v Real Madrid will call the curtain on a thrilling edition to the tournament.
The two finalists will lock horns in Cardiff on Saturday, June 3 in what should be a thrilling affair. The Italian giants’ rock solid defense meets an attack that has scored 10 goals past Bayern and Atletico.
Here’s a look at the top six most memorable moments of the Champions League.
6. The biggest aggregate defeat for an English club
This Champions League was heartbreaking for Arsenal. Despite finishing first in their group, they drew Bayern Munich in the round of 16. That matchup ended in two 5-1 defeats.
The 10-2 aggregate loss was the biggest ever suffered by an English club in the Champions League.

5. Monaco announce themselves v Man City
When Monaco took on Man City in the Champions League, little expected the surprise Ligue 1 leaders to get past the English giants. The French outfit silenced their critics.
Despite losing the first leg at the Etihad, Falaco, Mbabbe, and Silva did enough to announce themselves as a European attack to fear. Jardim’s side went all the way to the semi-final.
4. The bad refereeing
Bad officiating marred this exciting Champions League season. In the round of 16, debatable refereeing was at the heart of Barca’s amazing comeback against PSG.
The next round saw Real Madrid dispatch Bayeryn Munich, but offside goals and a wrong sending off against the German giants ended their hopes.
3. Ronnie’s hat-tricks
No player knows how to silence his critics like Cristiano. After scoring a brace against Bayern Munich, the Portuguese superstar followed that up with a hat-trick in the second.
That was because of the bad refereeing, many said. The 31-year-old killed any doubts by following that up with another three-goal haul.
2. Cristiano reaches 100 UCL goals
It was one of the biggest mysterious: who would reach the 100 Champions League goals mark? Would it be Messi or Cristiano? Although Leo appeared on his way after his 10 goals in the group stage, it was his Portuguese rival who won the race.
1. Sergi Roberto’s 95th minute winner
The greatest comeback ever – with the clock at 87 minutes, the Blaugrana needed three more goals to make it through. Neymar delivered one of his best displays as a Barca player, scoring two and setting up Roberto’s 95th-minute winner.
The rest is history.
