What started out as a rumor has been confirmed today, and Eden Hazard has given Real Madrid a massive injury blow before the crunch tie against Barcelona.
The player was subbed off the pitch during the match between Los Blancos and PSG last week, and while initial tests revealed that the footballer had only taken a major knock to his ankle, further tests revealed that Hazard will have to recover from a fissure to his right ankle.
According to Real Madrid's medical staff, Hazard needed to undergo over seven tests to determine the real damage to his ankle. The club ran so many tests on the Belgian since he had corrective surgery on that same ankle a couple of years ago.
Hazard's absence presents quite a predicament for Zidane, since he could be forced to change his formation from a 4-3-3 to a 4-4-2 formation. Be that as it may, Barcelona will not have to worry about guarding the most expensive signing in Real Madrid's history, at least for the clash that's set to take place on December 18.
