Spain have won all but one of their games so far in the Euro U21 Championship, with their opening game ending in a 3-1 loss to Italy. However, that defeat is their sole loss in their last 10 games in all competitions, drawing once against France U21 in a friendly and winning every other game.

Germany U21, meanwhile, are unbeaten in their last 16 games in all competitions. The reigning champions have drawn three times in those aforementioned games against Austria, France, and Kosovo. The remaining 13 matches all ended in victory.
