The German goalkeeper made another mistake for Liverpool during their match against Borussia Dortmund on Sunday, sparking severe comments about his performances. Fans and experts have made constantly made fun of the goalie, and a couple of players have stepped up to defend him from all his critics.
Those players are none other than Iker Casillas and Mohamed Salah. The veteran goalkeeper, who also endured harsh criticism from Real Madrid fans, kicked off Karius' passionate defense with a tweet.
"Will these attacks against Karius ever end? I'm speaking for him as well as for other goalkeepers. We have more serious problems going on in the world, for f**k sake! Leave the kid alone, he's a person, just like everyone else!"

Later, Karius' team-mate Mohamed Salah offered words of comfort to the under-fire goalkeeper, who's No. 1 spot with the Reds is in serious jeopardy due to Alisson's record-breaking transfer.

Karius didn't want to keep his thoughts to himself on this matter, and he finally aimed a dig at those who criticize him for his recent mishaps.
Reports after the UEFA Champions League revealed that Karius and his family suffered death threats following his costly mistakes in the tournament's final. Things have gotten uglier for him during this pre-season, and the messages sent by Salah and Casillas are a timely attempt to see these attacks come to an end.
