If one thing seemed impossible when the Premier League started, Swansea City doing the double over against Manchester United would have been one of those. Well, today the Swans shocked once again Van Gaal's "best side of the Premier League" with a 2-1 score, just like in Opening Day. This is the first time ever that Garry Monk's men pull such a stunner facing the Red Devils.
Ander Herrera scored the go ahead goal for Manchester United, and it seemed to be a normal day for Van Gaal's crew. But just two minutes later, South Korean Sung-Yueng Ki equalized for the Swans. The first half ended with no more emotions for either team.
After the break, United's possession seemed to be harmless, while Swansea started some fast breaks that put David De Gea's goal in danger. With 17 minutes to go, Bafetimbi Gomis scored the second goal for the Swans, a lead that they would not lose despite Louis Van Gaal's attemps to equalize.
Manchester United may end this week out of the top four spots in the Premier League if Southampton wins tomorrow. On the other hand, the Swans won their tenth game this season, and will continue holding the 9th position in the EPL standings.
As you may expect, fans were not satisfied by United's display, blaming Van Gaal's tactics for today's loss. Have a look at what fans and trolls had to say about this match.
