Liverpool, on the other hand, enjoyed a win over Brighton to move seven points ahead of Man City temporarily. Chelsea also earned a victory, beating Newcastle 2-1 at Stamford Bridge. Here are the standout stats from the weekend action.
De Gea saves Man United
On Sunday, Man United traveled to Wembley to face Tottenham in an exciting game. The Red Devils earned a hard-fought 1-0 win, with Rashford scoring the only goal of the game, but David de Gea was the hero in that victory.
The Spaniard put in another excellent display, making 11 saves to keep a clean sheet in north London. That is the most by a goalkeeper in a single game so far this season.

Solskjaer equals Man United legend's record
Ole Gunnar Solskjær's first big test at Man United was Sunday's trip to Tottenham and the Norwegian silenced his doubters by leading his side to a 1-0 win. The victory not only increased the club's confidence, but it saw the caretaker manager equal legendary manager Matt Busby's all-time record at Old Trafford.

No goals, no problem for Hazard
Hazard may be without a goal in his last five games, but the Belgian still reached a feat in the win over Newcastle. After assisting the winning goal, he became the only player after Messi in Europe's top-five leagues to have scored and set up 10 or more goals.
However, Eden trails Salah, Kane, and Aubameyang in the Golden Boot race
Arsenal loses 12-year Premier League record in West Ham defeat
The 1-0 loss to West Ham was a disappointing result, as they put in a lackluster performance, dropped three points that they should have earned, and are now level on points with Man United. The defeat also brought an end to their over 12-year unbeaten run at the Hammers in the top-flight.
West Ham have beaten Arsenal at home in the Premier League for the first time since Marlon Harewood scored an 89th-minute winner in 2006.

Man City vs Wolves -- what to expect
On Monday, Man City will host Wolves with the sole aim of recording three points. Failure to do so will hand Liverpool a boost and deal a huge blow to the Citizens' title hopes. The last time these two sides faced each other, Nuno Espírito Santo's men earned a 1-1 draw. The newly-promoted side has fared extremely well against the top-six sides this season, losing only once.
