After their shock loss to Bournemouth, Chelsea will be hoping to get back on track as they take on struggling Huddersfield. Can they avoid what would be another unwanted historical record?

Current form: Chelsea vs Huddersfield

Chelsea shockingly conceded four goals in an embarrassing loss to Bournemouth last round, and now have slipped out of the top four. Maurizio Sarri's job is apparently on the line after that bad result. It marked the second time the Blues have lost in the Premier League on a Wednesday, and ironically, it was Bournemouth who did the damage the first time around - albeit the first time they lost on a Wednesday, it wasn't a heavy 4-0 defeat.

They will be desperate to get back on track here, and one man keen on making his presence felt will be new signing Gonzalo Higuain. The former AC Milan and Juventus striker had a debut to forget against Bournemouth and will be looking to make an impact at Stamford Bridge to prove to Chelsea fans that he can help turn the club's flagging fortunes around. Sarri will be equally desperate as he is rapidly losing the faith of Chelsea supporters, who feel his brand of football is not paying dividends.

A sticking point for quite a few Blues fans is how N'Golo Kante has been played out of position to accommodate Jorginho, whom Sarri brought along from Napoli, and how unfortunately that doesn't seem to be working out as planned as the new signing struggles to the deal at times with the different pace of play in the Premier League as opposed to Serie A. However, Sarri is a notoriously stubborn tactician who generally refuses to change his ways, and thus observers will be hoping that this trait will pay off sooner rather than later - although he has already been linked with a swift exit after less than a full year on the bench at Stamford Bridge.

As for Huddersfield, they have lost ten of their last 11 Premier League games, and have failed to score in their last three. With just one point in their last five games, the visitors sit bottom of the table on 11 points, a whopping 12 from safety. It goes without saying that this game represents a golden opportunity for struggling Chelsea to get back on track - but will they be able to get the job done?
