The Canadian is entering the final year of his deal this summer and is being heavily linked with a move to Santiago Bernabeu.

The agent of Bayern Munich star Alphonso Davies has hit back at the Bundesliga giants, thus handing Real Madrid a huge boost in what could potentially be another transfer coup for the Spanish giants.

The Canadian is embroiled in a tricky contract situation that has sparked frustration from his Bundesliga employers. The full-back, whose deal expires in 2025, is being pressured by the German giants to either accept an extension or leave this summer when he enters the final year.

This has not gone down well with the 23-year-old and his camp, with his agent Nedal Huoseh issuing a scathing response via famous German tabloid Bild, which was later tweeted out by well-known transfer guru Fabrizio Romano.

In his response, Davies' agent explains the current conundrum Alphonso is in and reveals how this came about. He states that the Canadian agreed to an extension a year ago but the hierarchal overhaul at Bayern Munich threw matters into a limbo.

Additionally, with Thomas Tuchel leaving at the end of the season and Bayern yet to appoint his successor, Nedal argues that it is unfair to demand a commitment from his player when there is tremendous uncertainty at the club.

"It's unfair that Alphonso is now being attacked", told BILD.

"We were close to an agreement a year ago. Then the entire club management was replaced. We didn't hear anything for seven months. Although I tried during this time to contact the club myself".

"Now we are being given an ultimatum and are supposed to react within two weeks because the club is under pressure and took a long time to reposition itself in the management? That's not fair".

"It's a very important contract in Alphonso's career and we're supposed to make the decision without knowing who the coach will be next season or what the team looks like. That's why we think it's unfair to react to the ultimatum."

However, a report from the Athletic last month claims that Davies has verbally agreed to join Real Madrid either this summer on a cut-price fee or in a year when his deal expires. As a result, he has been advised by Los Blancos to reject all renewal offers from Bayern Munich.

Florentino Perez's side, who have all but signed Kylian Mbappe, could add one of the deadliest left-back in world football to an already exceptional squad. Bayern Munich, who appear destined to lose the Bundesliga title to Leverkusen this season, will be frustrated as they look set to lose another talented player to the Spanish giants following Toni Kroos' exit in 2014.
