The Portuguese ace was sent off during Sunday's clash, but shoving the referee earned him an extra four games away from the pitch.

Cristiano Ronaldo has been involved in every football conversation after shoving the referee in Real Madrid's 3-1 win against Barcelona. Following his 5-match ban, a number of experts believed he could have at least one game shaved down, but today, the Spanish Football Federation upheld the original ban, prompting a reaction by the striker.

The Portuguese ace took Instagram by storm, and proceeded to write a rant in his native tongue complaining about the 5-match suspension.

"It's impossible to be immune to this situation, 5 games !! It seems to me exaggerated and ridiculous, this is called persecution! Thanks to my teammates for the support and the fans !!!"

Ronaldo could face an even larger suspension or fine, as happened to his coach Zinedine Zidane for questioning the RFEF's decisions on Sunday evening.
