The Chelsea outcast uploaded an Instagram story where he's seen with the Spanish team's jersey.

If there was any chance for Diego Costa to continue his career with Chelsea, the player's antics while on holiday certainly killed them.

The Brazilian-born striker posted an Instagram story in a live show, donning an Atlético Madrid jersey and replying to some users. The video also showed a comment by Cesc Fabregas, who laughed at Costa's antics, which had the Spanish footballer replying "give a hug to Conte".

Have a look at an excerpt from that video.

While the striker has never hidden his love for Atlético Madrid, and has even pushed for a transfer in the past, his return to the Spanish top flight won't be happening soon, as Los Colchoneros are not able to sign any new players due to a transfer ban, which will be lifted in January.

Costa's future remains doubtful as of now, with a move to the Chinese Super League being the best option at the moment.
