The French boss denied being worried about the Portuguese ace's scoring drought, which caused fans to vent their frustration last Sunday.

According to Zinedine Zidane, fans can show their feelings by jeering them if they're not satisfied with their performance, but that doesn't mean there's problems between them,

Speaking during Tuesday's pre-match press conference, "Zizou" spoke about Los Blancos' supporter complaints about Cristiano Ronaldo's recent performances, which were heard last Sunday after La Liga's leaders earned a hard-fought 2-1 win. According to the French boss, CR7 is not worried about it, even while experiencing one of his longest goal scoring drought since joining he Spanish giants.

"I don't understand them but at the same time I do, because it happened to me too. This can happen. The fans expect the best from the players, that's why the Bernabeu is special. Cristiano is used to that and it doesn't worry him," Zidane said.

The Portuguese striker has only scored four goals in 768 minutes, and has shown signs of frustration in most of Los Blancos' games.

Later in the press conference, Zidane admitted that it would be better to have CR7 in full throttle mode, but he believes this drought will come to an end shortly.

"I would prefer him to score two or three goals a game but I'm not worried about what's coming. He's not finishing chances at the moment but the important thing is to have them. It won't be long till he puts one in," the French boss concluded.

Real Madrid will play against Cultural Leonesa on Wednesday, in what will be their debut in the 2016-17 Copa del Rey. This match will be played earlier than expected, since the match was originally programmed to be played in December during the same dates in which Zidane's crew will be playing to win the Club World Cup
