The Argentinean saved the day for Barcelona today with a late penalty, but his first goal was tarnished by a clear offside position.

Lionel Messi scored yet another brace for Barcelona, but his first goal shouldn't have been allowed to go up on the scoreboard. The reason? A blatant offside by Luis Suárez.

Messi struck the ball just inside Valencia's box, and as the ball approached to Suárez, the Uruguayan jumped and blocked the goalkeeper's visibility. Referee Undiano Mallenco decided to ignore all complaints and even gave Valencia's goalkeeper a yellow card.

As Messi takes the shot, Suárez is blocking Diego Alves' visibility.

Then, as Messi fires away, Suárez gets involved by jumping, which should have prompted the ref to call an offisde.

Suárez would go on and score the second goal for Barcelona, and Messi's penalty as time expired gave Los Blaugranas three crucial points.
