Barcelona superstar Luis Suarez seems unstoppable if his most recent performance in the Spanish La Liga is anything to go by. The Uruguayan netted four-times to steer the Blaugrana to a 6-0 win over Sporting Gijon at Nou Camp. Three days earlier, the ex-Liverpool man also netted four goals against Deportivo as Luis Enrique’s men cruised to a 8-0 win over Deportivo La Coruna.
As a result of the 8-goal haul in less than a week, the 29-year-old has now toppled Real Madrid’s Cristiano Ronaldo at the top of the top scorer’s list. He has now netted 34 goals in La Liga this season, while Ronaldo has 31, followed by Lionel Messi with 25.
The win for the Camp Nou outfit also took them to the top of the league table with 82 points, same as second placed Atletico Madrid who have an inferior goal difference. Real Madrid, on the other hand, sit at the third position on the log with 81 points, thus creating the right atmosphere for a thrilling season ender between the three La Liga giants.
Here is how some football fans reacted to Suarez’s unstoppable form:
