Fernando Torres may not be in his previous lethal form that make him one of the most feared attackers in football, but he is still making history.

Atletico Madrid forward Fernando Torres has made history for the Spanish giants by scoring his 100th goal in 295 appearances. The 31-year-old now joins the list of the top 10 all-time century goal scorers for Atletico Madrid after scoring his first goal since September last year. To celebrate his historic goal, the former Chelsea and Liverpool man jumped over the advertising board and handed his shirt to Manuel Brinas, the man who scouted him at a tender age of 10.

Despite his recent slump in form, Torres has achieved some commendable success in his life with the Colchoneros. He scored his first goal for the Spanish side at the age of 17 in their 1-0 victory over Albacete in June 2001. Thereafter, his impressive goal-scoring tally reached 95 before making a move to Anfield in England to join Liverpool back in 2007.

However, during his time with the Premier League side, the once-lethal forward had vowed to return to his childhood club, which he did, eventually.

Some of his most notable achievements in his international career include winning the UEFA EURO in 2008 and 2012, and the 2010 FIFA World Cup with Spain.

Here is a list of the top 10 all-time century goal scorers for Atletico Madrid:
