Throwing a bib at your coach is not acceptable behavior for many people but for Jose Mourinho that was not an issue when Diego Costa did just that after knowing he would not go into the game against Tottenham. While his substitutions did not work the way he wanted, there are no hard feelings between player and coach.
Chelsea and Tottenham finished the game with a scoreless draw at White Hart Lane but it was Costa's throw of his bib on the sidelines that really made headlines. For Mourinho, that was normal behavior from a top player that does not like sitting on the bench and wants to be playing in order to help his team.
"For me his behaviour is normal. A top player on the bench will not be happy," Mourinho said, adding that every other player in his roster including Eden Hazard have watched games from the bench.
Jose wanted to talk about other things
Jose says he would rather speak about players who did play. He singles Eden Hazard out for praise, saying it was his best game so far. #CFC

The Special one added that if Costa wanted to hurt him, he would use something else rather than a bib. Teammates like Branislav Ivanovic claim that it is important for everyone to work for the benefit of the team and stop worrying about the individual aspects.
"Diego is privileged to have been kept in the team for all these matches and today we thought our best strategy was to play with this. I am happy with my decision and the players," Mourinho said.
After not being called to start the game, Costa expected to take Pedro's spot sometime during the game. The former Barcelona striker did end up leaving the game but his place was taken by Ruben Loftus-Cheek. At that moment, Costa returned to his seat in the bench but threw his training bib to Mourinho before he got there.

"Diego is physically fine, no problems," Mou said. "He works well, every day his mood is positive, he is the positive guy in the team."
Chelsea is now in 14th place of the English Premier League standings with 15 points after 14 games. They will face Bournemouth in their next game and David Courtois is expected to return.
