English Premier League giants Chelsea are ready to spend a huge amount of money to secure the signature of Tottenham forward Harry Kane in January.

According to Metro, the Blues are currently looking for more attacking options upfront after a disappointing display by their current strikers. The trio of Radamel Falcao, Loic Remy and Diego Costa have only scored four goals between them so far this season.

The Daily Mail also claims that the defending champions now believe that Harry Kane has the answer to their striking problems and could be instrumental in restoring them to a respectable position in the league at the end of the season. On the other hand, Metro reports that Spurs will not release the England international to a domestic rival.

Kane scores his second goal for Spurs against Chelsea in their 5-3 whipping of the Blues in January.

Manchester United and Bayern Munich are also said to be monitoring the 22-year-old and could hijack the deal in January. The Blues have a better opportunity to monitor their transfer target when they face Tottenham this weekend in their 14th league match of the season.
