The defending champions come into this match at the back of six league defeats and will be hoping to bounce back following a midweek win over Dynamo Kiev. Their task however will be made difficult with manager Jose Mourinho condemned to a stadium ban following his dismissal in the match against West Ham.
The Portuguese has claimed that he might not watch Saturday's match further insisting that he will not appeal his ban.
"I have no plans, maybe I sit in street corner with my iPad, I don't know," he told reporters.
"If I cannot contact with the game maybe I don't even watch the game. I can't contact with the game so what's the point? Live score, results, maybe."
The former Real Madrid manager has stated that his side is well prepared for the match and can cope up in his absence.
"If the first 10 minutes we are playing with seven men they are not prepared for that, they have to decide themselves. The game isn't predictable, you don't know the direction but we can try to reduce that and that we did," he added.
Stoke knocked Chelsea out of the League Cup with the match decided on penalties but Mourinho has insisted that his players will not have revenge on their minds.
"Revenge for what? What's the problem? Why? We played a good game, people were nice to us, our supporters were fantastic, no problems between supporters, a great football match, a good referee, a good show for everyone," he added.
"One team scores one more penalty, one team left happy, one team left unhappy, everything was normal, revenge for what?"
The Potter started the season in disappointing fashion but have regained momentum having suffered just a single defeat in their last five matches in all competitions. They will be without defender Marc Muniesa and goalkeeper Shay Given for the match.
Chelsea on the other hand will be without a number of players including the likes of Thibaut Courtois, Branislav Ivanovic and Radamel Falcao. Pedro made a substitute appearance in the match against Kiev and is likely to feature.
