Chelsea has only scored eight points after the first eight games of the season.Simeone has a £15million buy-out clause to leave Atletico.

In this life you don't have anything for granted even if you are Chelsea's manager and your name is Jose Mourinho. The Portuguese manager could be living his last days as the boss of the reigning English Premier League champions if good results don't come by soon.

According to some reports, the English club is already eyeing the replacement of the Special One and it could be Diego Simeone from Atletico Madrid. The Argentinian manager that took his team to earn La Liga title in 2014 and finish as the runner-up in the Champions League that same year could be the right man for the job.

Chelsea has had its worst start in 37 years with only eight points after eight games that have them standing in sixteenth place in the Premier League standings. Last time they had such a bad start, the team ended up being relegated.

Their bad start is no joke, it is real

On the other side, Atletico Madrid is currently in fifth place of La Liga with 13 points, only three behind Villarreal that leads the competition after seven games. Along with Celta Vigo, the two teams have broke in to the top five early in the season of a league usually dominated by Real Madrid and Barcelona.

Simeone has never played or managed a team from England. He has spent most of his career in Argentina, Spain and Italy. Over the past summer, Simeone signed a contract renewal with Atletico until 2020. If Chelsa really wants him, they must pay the Spanish club a £15million buy-out clause.

Some football experts are seeing a pattern here

The team from Stamford Bridge recently came out to show full support for their current manager. Mourinho said that he would leave when his players told him to and for now that doesn't seem likely to happen as many have come forward to support the Special One.

As of right now, Chelsea will continue supporting Mourinho

In the end, the club wants the results they are not getting at the moment. With Manchester City and the other big guns of the Premier League slipping away, the time to decide about the future of Jose Mourinho should be coming sometime soon.
