Sergio Aguero has praised Sterling's arrival as something that the team needed. Rickie Lambert, James McClean and James Chester should have their debuts with West Brom

West Bromwich and Manchester City will wrap up what has been an exciting opening week where many of the scores have been unexpected. The team of Manuel Pellegrini is the favorite to win it, but as we have seen, not everything can go according to the expectation in this Premier League.

Manchester City could not defend its title in the previous season, but knows there is a certain stat that could raise their hopes for the upcoming season if the come out with a positive result today. The last five times that Man City has won its first game, the team from The Engineer ends up having a successful season.

By far, the biggest signing of Man City was bringing Raheem Sterling on board from Liverpool. The 20 year-old player had a good pre-season and hopes to build on that as he is destined to have his official debut with his new team. The striker scored his first goal just two minutes into his pre-season debut against Roma.

Pellegrini's only lost two of its five pre-season matches. The team faced sides like Real Madrid, Roma Stuttgart and Melbourne City. Now that they travel to West Brom, they hope to continue their dominance over Tony Pullis' side. Man City has won 60 games, tied in 27 occasions and lost 49 times against West Brom.

For West Brom, playing at home is their biggest advantage. Joleon Lescott has been out of practice with an undisclosed injury lately, but the manager hopes that he will be available to face a team he knows really well, which was Lescott's former team.

Rickie Lambert, James McClean and James Chester are three players that could be making their official debuts with the team at The Hawthorns. Reports claim that Salomon Rondon, a striker from Zenit has already passed Bromwich's medical exams and could be ready by next week.

Pullis is really looking forward to seeing Lambert in action. The former Liverpool striker should be looking sharp by having Saido Berahino's company in the attacking third. Berahino scored 20 goals last season. If Rondon ends up joining the team, this could be a very powerful offensive unit, the best one Bromwich has ever had.
