The two London sides will be competing for bragging rights when they face one another at the Wembley on Sunday. Chelsea were the country's most impressive side bagging the Capital One Cup and the Premier League as well.
Arsenal on the other hand were triumphant in the FA Cup for a second consecutive season after a 4-0 mauling of Aston Villa in the final. Despite their struggles early in the season the Gunners ended the season on a high and will be hoping to continue where they left off from after a very impressive pre-season campaign which saw them scoring 14 goals in just four games.
There have not been many notable additions at the club, but Arsene Wenger has made a strong statement by signing goalkeeper Petr Cech who is poised to start against his former side on Sunday. The Cech international's age has been highlighted as a concern by some people but Wenger has insisted that he can have a similar impact to what Van der Sar did at Man United.
"His move is a bit like Van der Sar. He went from Fulham to Man United but still had five or six years at Manchester United, so I don’t see why [Cech] shouldn't have a few more years," Wenger told reporters.
"He's very serious, he trains well, has no big problems. He has an intimidating presence that is for sure. He makes the goals look small. That's the kind of charisma he has. He is a big size."
"He has a good combination between quality, agility, size, he looked like he was built for English football. I think he is a very bright goalkeeper as well."

Mourinho and Chelsea have not been very active in the transfer window either but replaced their departing goalkeeper with Stoke City's Asmir Begovic and secured the loan signing of Colombian international Radamael Falcao. The Portuguese tactician further stated that the Blues have no injury concerns ahead of the game.
"All good,” he told reporters when asked about the fitness of Diego Costa and Garry Cahill."'There are no concerns, no protections [for Costa]. We have three top strikers. I'm not worried. No problem."
