Rodriguez suffered a broken metatarsal in a game against Sevilla. He's expected to be back playing by the beginning of April.

Despite Real Madrid’s current struggle to find consistency, there is some good news at Valdebebas as James Rodriguez is back to the team's training grounds. The Colombian midfielder is currently recovering from a fractured metatarsal.

Rodriguez has been sidelined since the beginning of February when he had to leave the game against Sevilla. Shortly after that, he underwent a successful surgery and was finally cleared this Wednesday to workout on the training pitch.

The Colombian tweeted about his successful training session

Rodriguez did not train with his teammates this time. He spent some time doing light exercises with the ball and jogging around the field. Either way, the 23-year-old player is not expected to play in a game until the beginning of April.

Sergio Ramos also made it back to the training field after a long absence

Learning about Rodriguez successful recovery process is not only good news for Los Merengues. His Colombian colleagues are also looking forward to James return to action.

“We need him to be 100 percent fully recovered for the Copa America,” Carlos Bacca, his compatriot who plays for Sevilla said. “He is in good spirits and he is in no rush to speed up his recovery process.”
