Liverpool and Manchester City will clash in a Premier League encounter on Sunday, the 1st of March at the Anfield. Check the live TV and online streaming broadcast listings for Liverpool vs Manchester City below.

Both teams come into this match at the back of disappointing European results. Liverpool after failing to make the most out of their return to the Champions League failed to enjoy much success in Europe's second tier competitions as well.

The Reds visited Turkish side Besiktas in the second leg holding a 1-0 advantage which was reduced by Tolgay Arslan's strike in the 72nd minute. After extra time failed to yield any goals the match was decided by penalties and it was Besiktas who secured qualification to the next round at the expense of Liverpool.

Manchester City on the other hand hosted Barcelona in a Champions League fixture last time out, a match they lost by a 2-1 score line. Suarez marked his return to the Etihad with a fine brace and even though Aguero scored in the second half, the Citizens could not salvage a draw. The score line could have been worse for the Etihad side had Lionel Messi succeeded in converting his penalty in the dying moments.

Both teams will be eager to bounce back in the Premier League now, but Brendan Rodgers who's side played 120 minutes on Thursday believes that his opponents on Sunday will have more time to prepare for the match and will thus hold an advantage.

"That extra period of 48 hours that City will have could be crucial, certainly physically. We don't get back until 3 a.m., so we will have very little preparation time. It'll just be about recovery," he said.

"We can't train on the pitch at Anfield, we can't make it any worse than it is, so we're having to train in daylight hours, where we could have trained later in the evening at Anfield. That doesn't help us either.

"The key in it is the rest. At this stage of the season the physical condition of the players is there. What is vital is that sleep and rest.

"They will not rest much going back on the plane, with the adrenaline still flowing after a game. They will not sleep so well. Friday will be about rest. Then we prepare Saturday, game Sunday."

The same fixture last season proved to be an incredible one for Liverpool who enhanced their chances for the league title by picking a win over their counterparts. The match was leveled at 2-2 and seemed destined to end as a draw until Coutinho capitalized on Kompany's mistake to score the winning goal.

The Brazilian who did not make the trip to Turkey after being rested is expected to return to the side however vice captain Jordan Henderson remains a doubt. The Reds will also be without the likes of Steven Gerrard (hamstring), Lucas Leiva (thigh) and Lazar Markovic (suspended).
