The English wingman infuriated the team's supporters for swapping jerseys with Monaco's Aymen Abdennour, following the Gunners' disappointing performance.

Once the game between Arsenal and Monaco was over, fans turned their sights to Theo Walcott, who kept talking to Monaco's defender Aymen Abdennour. The two players exchanged some words and finally swapped their shirts in front of the few fans that remained inside Emirates Stadium. This gesture was not taken lightly by Arsenal's fans, and voiced their displease with Number 14.

Nevertheless, Walcott's reaction did not seem to be full of regret. The player looked back at the team's fans and started making hand gestures to them, symbolizing that their words had no effect whatsoever on him. As he left the pitch, fans booed him even harder.

After Wednesday's loss to the Ligue 1 side, Arsene Wenger's crew have to win the second leg scoring three goals without conceding any at Stade Louis II, in order to make it to the Champions League Quarter-final stage. No team in the tournament's history has recovered from a two-goal deficit while playing the second leg away from home.
