The Dutch manager denied claims about a possible reunion with the former Real Madrid and Internazionale player due to his high wage.

With the transfer window just around the corner, several rumors have sparked regarding the top seeded clubs in the Premier League. One of those clubs is Southampton, a team that was linked previously to midfielder Wesley Sneijder. Today, the Saints' boss Ronald Koeman denied those claims, stating the team can't afford to pay Sneijder's wage.

"Of course we are interested, but we can't pay him. I know how much he makes because we have the same agent. He would put us way over our budget," Koeman stated.

Sneijder has been rumored to be leaving Galatasaray, since the player has not been able to collect his paycheck due to the team's financial issues. With that in mind, the Dutch international could be considering a move from the Turkish squad, and several Premier League sides have been linked to the midfielder's future. Sneijder's stint with Galatasaray started in January 2013, after having played for Internazionale. His current wage, according to sources, would be around  63,700 euros per week.

Sneijder has taken part of 111 matches for the Oranje, scoring 28 goals.
