Chelsea's midfielder revealed he talked about this issue with Sergio Ramos, who questioned those players who refused to attend Spain's international matches due to injury.

Chelsea's midfielder Cesc Fabregas responded to those voices who criticized his recent absence with Spain during the last International break of the year. Fabregas revealed he spoke with Sergio Ramos to explain why he decided not to go with La Roja last week.

"I've played 94 games with La Roja, and I have always been there, it really annoys me that people think I don't want to play with my National Team. I've always been happy to be here even when I did not play," Fabregas told the press.

Regarding Sergio Ramos, the former Barcelona player stated he preferred to discuss the matter personally with him, since  they have known each other for quite some time. This was to avoid being mad with him for things he read in the papers.

"Of course I knew he was talking about me. We talked over the phone and things are OK now. I told him we've played together since our days in the U-21 team, and now he knows he doesn't have to tell the media anything about me. He can call me and speak about things face-to-face," Fabregas added.
