Reports indicate that the Premier League powerhouse have started thrashing out details to bring the German to Stamford Bridge.

Marco Reus will leave Borussia Dortmund. No ifs, ands, and buts about it, much to the dismay of the team's passionate fans. Bundesliga supporters will bemoan the fact that their league is increasingly becoming a one-horse race, but for Dortmund followers, they can perhaps take consolation in the fact that the German star may not move to Bayern Munich.

Earlier this week, Chelsea were reported to be planning a way to bring Reus to Stamford Bridge via an exchange with his international teammate, Andre Schurrle, who is not rated highly by Jose Mourinho. And so keen is the Portuguese tactician on adding the 25-year-old that he has reportedly requested the club's executives to commence discussions with the player's agent.

As per the Daily Express, Mourinho also will be likely to deploy Reus along with Oscar and Eden Hazard to support Brazilian Spanish international Diego Costa.

However, with a release clause of just £20 million--a bargain considering his talent--the Blues will have to fend off stiff competition from the likes of Real Madrid, and of course, Bayern Munich who already snapped up two Dortmund stars in successive seasons.
