Despite just arriving at the Serie A side, the Spaniard could be offloaded in a shock departure this January.

Although he just arrived at Milan on loan from Chelsea, Fernando Torres could be on the move again.

The 30-year-old Spanish international, once heralded as one of the game's best strikers due to his exploits with Atletico Madrid and Liverpool, had departed Stamford Bridge after a miserable term there following his mega-money arrival in January 2011.

The switch to Serie A from the Premier League was supposed to help kick-start his flagging career, but he continues to find it difficult to score goals and has just one--in the Rossoneri's 2-2 stalemate with Empoli--to show for his efforts.

As a result, Milan, according to reports, could be preparing to cut their ties with the player that they had secured on a two-year loan deal that is supposed to run until the end of his contract with the Blues in 2016.

Indeed, as per the Daily Express, his next destination could be Germany.

Possible reunion? Fernando Torres won the Champions League in 2012 under Roberto Di Matteo with Chelsea

It may seem random, to move from the Premier League to Serie A to the Bundesliga within the span of one season, but the link is his former coach at Chelsea, Roberto Di Matteo.

The Italian is now the new coach at Schalke and believes that he can help his former striker regain some of his confidence in front of goal, and, according to the same report, may try to tempt Chelsea's hand to bring him in as early as January 2015.
