Just after last Sunday’s defeat against Real Sociedad, CR7 isn’t quite sure letting go Di Maria and Alonso will benefit Real Madrid on the long run.

Fans all over the world have to thank Cristiano Ronaldo. The Portuguese striker raised his voice against the club’s transfers during this summer, which included Angel Di Maria’s departure towards Manchester United, and Xabi Alonso’s goodbye in favor of German side Bayern Munich.

“If our President thinks that signing some new players and letting them leave was the way to go about it, you have to respect his opinion, but you don’t have to back it if you don’t agree. I’ve always been clear on what I think on that subject, but I can’t always express my opinion. If I was in charge, I would have done things differently,” Ronaldo stated.

Asked about how the team will do with James Rodriguez and Toni Kroos, the winner of the UEFA Best Player of the year award also had words for his new teammates:

“I think the team is obviously going to change. I don’t know if that change will be for better or for worse, but hopefully for the better because they are quality players, and you should expect them to adapt quickly to what our team is used to,” CR7 added.

During the interview, Ronaldo was asked about the new Real Madrid striker, Javier Hernandez, and shared his thoughts on him:

“I am very happy to have him on board, he is a good player. I think he will help us up front, and I believe this move will be successful for him, I just hope he can adapt quickly to our playing style,” Ronaldo concluded.
