Nova Sport 2 History, Coverage, Features
Nova Sport 1 is a Czech television channel that is owned and operated by TV Nova. The channel was launched on September 5, 2015 as an overflow channel to Nova Sport 1, which has been considered as the most important channel of the bunch. Nova Sport 2 is part of a network that includes four channels: Nova Sport 1, Nova Sport 3, and Nova Sport 4.
Over the years, the network has been able to cover a wide variety of disciplines, which have included domestic competitions and international events and tournaments. Some of the sports covered by Nova Sport 2 and its sister channels have included ice hockey, basketball, tennis, football, mixed martial arts, rugby, darts, motorsports, and more. Nova Sport 2 has frequently been used to cover some of the top competitions where Czech or Slovakian athletes and teams have been involved.
Speaking about football, Nova Sport 2 has been used to cover domestic tournaments such as the Bundesliga, the 2. Bundesliga, the French Ligue 1, or the French Ligue 2. Other tournaments covered by this channel have included the UEFA Champions League and the UEFA Europa League, among others.
Nova Sport 2 was launched as a High-Definition channel since it saw the light, although there might be a downscaled version of the channel for those who do not have access to HD technology. Both options may be found in certain regions via certain pay-tv carriers across the Czech Republic and Slovakia, where users can get a hold of the channel.
