About
Alkass Three History, Coverage, Features
Al Kass Three is a sports television channel owned and operated by the Government of Qatar. This channel became the third sports channel under the Al Kass brand after Al Kass One saw the light on April 28, 2006. Al Kass Three would go on to become part of the Al Kass network since its launch.
Over the years, Al Kass Three has been known for airing international football competitions, which makes it stand out from the rest of its sister networks. The channel has mostly been used to cover AFC Champions League and AFC Cup matches, although some additional coverage such as highlights and tournament news have also been included in its programming. Al Kass Three is the first of four pay-tv channels that started operating under beIN Sports’ wing in 2013.
When it comes to football, and additional to what was mentioned earlier, Al Kass Three has also been used to cover competitions such as the Algerian Premier League, the Tunisian Premier League, and other cup competitions
Al Kass Three was launched as a Standard Definition channel, but a High-Definition feed saw the light in 2013, making this the main option to watch its content. A downscaled version of the HD feed may be available for users who do not have access to HD technology.
