Jamie Vardy, Kevin De Bruyne and Ederson Moares were honored by the Premier League for being the top performers in the competition on the final day of the 2019/2020 season. The trio bowed out of the campaign by clinching awards for the top-goalscorer, top playmaker and the goalkeeper with the most cleans sheets respectively.
At the age of 33, and with 23 goals after 38 league matches, Vardy became the oldest player to win the Premier League Golden Boot. Despite failing to score in the final day's 2-0 defeat to Manchester United, the Leicester City striker ended up staying a goal clear of the Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Danny Ings. Both players scored in their respective outings against Watford and Sheffield United.
