Arsenal should be braced for a major face-lift in terms of the quality of the squad, if Massimilano Allegri takes over in the summer.

Juventus manager Massimiliano Allegri has identified his first signing for Premier League giants Arsenal, according to the Express. The report claims that the gunners have reached a verbal agreement with the 49-yea-old to inherit Arsene Wenger's throne if the Frenchman decides to leave the club in the summer.

Wenger, 67, has been under pressure to resign at the club following his failure to win them the league and the Champions League in over 12 years. The north Londoners are currently fourth on the league table, and have one foot already out of the Champions League thanks to their 5-1 defeat to Bayern Munich at the Allianz Arena two weeks ago in the first leg of the last 16.

Following the recent run of poor results, Arsenal fans have descended on their longest-serving manager, demanding for his sacking. Allegri remains at the pole position to take over the Emirates amid reports that Wenger could sign a new two-year deal at the club.

Allegri takes over, signing 22-year-old Lazio midfielder Sergej Milinkovic-Savic will be his first transfer target, the report claims. The Italian tried to sign the Serbian player last summer for Juve but failed. He reportedly believes an offer from Arsenal would be irresistible.
