Last weekend saw the start of the 2024 NWSL season and it certainly did not disappoint, with the majority of matches seeing at least two goals scored.
Here is all you need to know as matchday two of the 2024 NWSL season gets underway on Friday.
Broadcast and live-streaming info for the NWSL in the USA and in select countries
Fans in the USA will be able to follow NWSL games via a variety of ways. Thanks to a new deal with ABC and ESPN, 20 games will be shown on these platforms during the regular season. Matchday two's final game, Portland Thorns vs NY/NJ Gotham, will be shown on TV on ESPN2. Spanish-speakers can also follow the match on TV on ESPN Deportes, while ESPN+ provides live-streaming with both English and Spanish language coverage.
Additional viewing options for fans in the USA also include Amazon Prime Video and ion.
NWSL+, the league's streaming service, will also be live streaming matches for fans in the USA and in other select countries.
Top games to watch on matchday two in the NWSL
Washington Spirit vs Bay FC: Fresh off their gritty 1-0 win over Angel City, new side Bay FC will look to make it two wins in two games when they take on Washington Spirit on Saturday. As for the hosts, the Spirit will be keen on getting back to winning ways after a narrow 1-0 defeat to Seattle Reign on matchday one.

San Diego Wave vs Kansas City: The Wave come into this match having won in the NWSL Challenge Cup, but will likely face a tough test in their full season opener when Kansas City come to town. The visitors really made a huge splash on matchday one as they provided quite a fair share of entertainment during a nine-goal thriller against Portland Thorns that was ultimately won 5-4.

Portland Thorns vs NY/NJ Gotham: Portland were part of a very entertaining opening match to the 2024 NWSL season as they netted four goals against Kansas City Current. Unfortunately for the Thorns, it was not enough to beat Kansas City, who battled to a 5-4 win in a nine goal thriller. Meanwhile, NY/NJ Gotham will get their season fully underway after losing 1-0 in the NWSL Challenge Cup last week.
