The two sides played part in a five goal thriller in the first leg and will now be raring to make their way into the Champions League ahead of the return leg. Leigh Griffiths opened the scoring for the home side with Biton soon doubling the lead. Berget responded with a goal for the visitors only for Griffiths to score another to restore Celtic's two goal lead. It took an injury time goal from Berget to pull one back for Malmo who will have a two away goal advantage when the match begins on Tuesday.
Controversy
Johan Wiland had harsh words to say for the Celtic players after last week's match and reserved special criticism for Griffiths who struck twice.
“They are pigs, all of them, that’s the way it is,” Wiland told Kvallsposten. “You just have to try to stay cool and do what we have to do on the pitch. Leigh Griffiths [who scored twice for Celtic], well, I don’t know what to say, he behaved like a child, tugging shirts all the time.”
The former Wolves striker however responded with more poise claiming that he will not be getting involved in mind games and was fully focused for the match on Tuesday.
"Not really. I have been called a brat many a time from my parents," Griffiths said responding to the criticism hurled at him.
"By an opposition player, it doesn't bother me at all.
"He has made comments in the paper and is trying to play mind games and is probably hurting from the defeat last week."
"But we are going into the game looking to win."
Team News
Swedish right back Mikael Lustig picked up a hamstring injury in the first leg and is a doubt for Tuesday's game. Striker Nadir Ciftci who has been serving a domestic ban will be available for selection for the European game. Whereas Markus Rosenberg and Enock Kofi Adu who were banned for the first leg will also return to the squad.
After his brace in the first leg, Leigh Griffiths is expected to lead the line for Celtic despite the club's signature of Ciftci who is likely to be on the bench.
